Quilence 1.0.7 is a significant update that brings subscription parity to macOS and introduces smarter ways to connect with you.
macOS Gets Full Subscription Support
The Mac app now has complete RevenueCat integration, matching the iOS experience:
- Native Paywall: Beautiful macOS-native subscription view with Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime options
- Subscription Tab in Settings: View your status, trial info, and upgrade options anytime
- Universal Purchase: Your subscription works across all your devices - iPhone, iPad, and Mac
- 7-Day Trial: Try all features free, with trial status shared between iOS and macOS
- Restore Purchases: One-tap restoration in Settings for peace of mind
- Offline Support: Even without internet, your subscription status is cached for 7 days
If you've been waiting to try Quilence on your Mac, now's the perfect time!
Smarter Review Prompts
I've rethought when Quilence asks for App Store reviews:
Sleep Timer Trigger: If you use the sleep timer, that's a strong signal you find Quilence valuable. The app will now ask for a review on your next app launch after a sleep timer session - never when the timer expires (because you're sleeping then!).
More Flexible Conditions: Previously, reviews were only prompted after creating a custom preset. Now, having 5+ playback sessions also qualifies. This means more users who genuinely enjoy Quilence have the opportunity to share their experience.
Always Respectful: Apple's rate limiting is strictly followed - maximum 3 prompts ever, with at least 90 days between them.
iOS: Home Screen Quick Actions
Long-press the Quilence app icon to see new Quick Actions:
- "Something Wrong?": Opens a feedback form so you can tell me about issues before uninstalling. Your feedback is invaluable for improving Quilence!
- Play/Pause: Quickly toggle playback without opening the full app
Other Improvements
- Fixed: Lifetime purchase now works correctly (RevenueCat package ID was incorrect)
- Fixed: Privacy Policy link in macOS Settings now points to the right URL
- Improved: App Store metadata optimized for discoverability with better keywords and descriptions
Technical Details
This release introduces IAPConstants.swift - a centralized configuration file ensuring both iOS and macOS use identical:
- Trial duration (7 days)
- Entitlement IDs
- Cache validity periods
- RevenueCat API configuration
This eliminates configuration drift and makes the codebase more maintainable.
What's Next?
I'm continuing work on:
- Apple Watch App: Control Quilence from your wrist
- Focus Mode Integration: Auto-start with system Focus modes
- Widgets: More sizes and customization options
Download Quilence 1.0.7 on the App Store or Mac App Store for the full cross-platform experience!
